What you can save
Live broadcast archives
Once an X live broadcast has ended, its archive can be saved as MP4. Paste the URL and a stream you missed — or a replay — is yours to keep. URLs in the form "https://x.com/i/broadcasts/○○○" are supported.
Videos attached to posts
Videos in ordinary posts can be saved too. URLs in the form "https://x.com/username/status/○○○" are supported, and the steps are identical to a live broadcast.

How to use it
Copy the URL
Copy the URL of the live broadcast, or of the post containing the video, that you want to save.
Paste it and run
Paste it into the field above and press Run — the download is then processed on the server.
Get your MP4
When processing finishes, the Download button becomes clickable and the file is saved as an MP4 video.

Can I save an X live broadcast?

Can I also save videos from ordinary posts?
Yes. URLs in the form "https://x.com/username/status/○○○" are supported. Paste one into the same field — there is no difference in how you use it.
Does it cost anything? Do I need an account?
It is free to use, and no account or sign-in is required. Paste a URL, press Run, and that is all.
Does it work on a smartphone?
Yes. It runs straight from the browser on iOS and Android with no app to install, and works the same way on Windows and Mac.
What format is used? Can I choose the quality?
Files are saved as MP4. The system picks the highest quality available, but if the video uploaded to the original post is low quality, it will be downloaded at that quality.
How long can I download the file for?
For 24 hours after processing completes. After that it is deleted from the server, so download it promptly once it is ready.
Why does processing take a while?
Downloads are queued to keep server load down, and longer broadcast archives take longer to process. If a great many requests arrive in a short period, new ones may be turned away temporarily.
Is my download history kept?
It is stored in your browser's local storage, so it survives closing the page. You can clear any entry with Delete in the list (which does not affect processing on the server).
Can I transcribe the video I downloaded?

Can I compress the downloaded video or turn it into a GIF?
